Background: Three Costs Hidden in Every Wrapped Pallet
Hand or machine stretch wrapping looks cheap because the material is familiar. The real cost sits in three places. First, material: a wrapped pallet uses a surprising length of film once you count the overlaps needed to hold the load. Second, labour: wrapping is minutes per pallet, and loading windows are fixed. Third, and most expensive, is what happens after the container is sealed — condensation inside a container, dust in transit, and cartons that arrive scuffed or soft at the corners.
